
HNC Membership Policy

1. Overview
This policy outlines the terms and conditions for all Hard Network Connections (HNC) membership levels: Business Monthly Membership, Business Annual Membership, and Student Membership.
By becoming a member of HNC, you agree to the terms outlined in this Membership Policy, as well as HNC’s Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, and Code of Conduct. HNC reserves the right to update or amend this policy at any time, with notice provided to active members via email or website updates.

Early Bird Offer (Time-Limited):
Members who join before 31/08/2025 will lock in current pricing (£15/month or £150/year for Business Memberships). Prices will rise to £19.99/month and £199/year after this period.
Benefits are non-transferable and subject to availability.
3. Eligibility

Membership is open to individuals aged 16 and above who seek professional development, networking, or business support.

Student Memberships require a valid .ac.uk or .sch.uk email (or equivalent academic domain).

HNC reserves the right to verify student eligibility and to refuse membership where misuse, misrepresentation, or abuse of services is suspected.
4. Sign-Up & Payment Terms

Business and Student Memberships are paid through Wix Pricing Plans via Stripe, Wix Payments.

All memberships auto-renew unless cancelled by the member.

Members are responsible for ensuring valid payment methods are maintained.
5. 30-Day Free Trial

New members receive a 30-day free trial with full access to all membership benefits.

Members can cancel anytime during the trial without charge.

If not cancelled, membership continues automatically after the 30-day period at the standard monthly or annual rate.
6. Cancellation & Refunds

Monthly Membership: Can be cancelled anytime via the account dashboard. No partial refunds are issued.

Annual Membership: Can be cancelled anytime. Refunds are not issued unless required by law (e.g., within the 14-day cooling-off period under UK Consumer Rights).

All cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing cycle.
7. Upgrades & Downgrades

Members may upgrade from Monthly to Annual at any time, with upgrades applied immediately.

Downgrades take effect at the end of the billing period.

No refunds are given for unused time when downgrading.
8. Use of Benefits

Member benefits may not be shared, sold, or transferred.

Abuse of services (e.g., booking workshops and not attending repeatedly, overuse of CV/LinkedIn support) may result in suspension or termination.

All workshops, services, and events must be booked in advance, and are subject to availability.
9. Event Booking & Attendance

Event bookings are non-transferable without prior written permission.

Cancellations or rescheduling requests must be made at least 24 hours before an event (where applicable).

HNC is not responsible for any travel, accommodation, or third-party costs incurred by members for event attendance.
10. Code of Conduct

All members must conduct themselves respectfully at HNC events (both online and in-person).

Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behaviour will result in an immediate review and potential termination of membership.
11. Privacy & Data Protection

All personal information is processed in accordance with HNC’s Privacy Policy and UK GDPR regulations.

We do not sell or share your personal data without your explicit consent.
12. Liability Disclaimer

HNC is not responsible for business outcomes, missed opportunities, or losses resulting from membership or event participation.

While we aim to provide high-quality services and connections, HNC does not guarantee specific results (e.g., sales, funding, employment).

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HNC’s liability is limited to the membership fee paid by the member.
13. Force Majeure

HNC will not be held responsible for delays or cancellations caused by circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, government restrictions, or health emergencies.
14. Termination of Membership
HNC reserves the right to suspend or terminate any membership, with or without refund, where:

Services are misused or abused.

Unethical, harmful, or abusive behaviour is directed at HNC staff or community members.
15. Amendments
We may revise this policy periodically. Members will be notified of significant changes, and continued membership constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
