Code of Conduct

Last Updated: 09/05/2025

At Hard Network Connections Ltd (HNC), we are committed to creating an inclusive, respectful, and empowering environment for all members, attendees, and partners — both online and in person. This Code of Conduct outlines the behaviours we expect, and the standards we uphold, across all our activities, events, and digital platforms.

By engaging with HNC in any capacity — as a member, guest, volunteer, sponsor, or service user — you agree to adhere to this Code of Conduct.

1. Respect for All Participants

We expect all individuals involved with HNC to:

  • Treat others with kindness, professionalism, and mutual respect

  • Listen actively and value different perspectives

  • Avoid personal attacks, discrimination, or dismissive behaviour

  • Be mindful of inclusive language and cultural differences

We are a diverse community of students, professionals, entrepreneurs, and supporters from different backgrounds. Respect is non-negotiable.

2. Zero Tolerance for Discrimination or Harassment

HNC strictly prohibits:

  • Harassment of any kind, including verbal abuse, unwanted advances, intimidation, or bullying

  • Discrimination based on race, gender, sexuality, religion, age, disability, nationality, or personal beliefs

  • Disruptive, aggressive, or inappropriate behaviour at events, in meetings, or in any digital communications

Violations will be investigated and may result in immediate suspension or removal from our events, services, or membership without refund.

3. Professional Behaviour and Integrity

Members and participants must:

  • Honour commitments (e.g. showing up for booked events)

  • Use services ethically and fairly (e.g. not sharing member benefits or misrepresenting their status)

  • Respect HNC staff, volunteers, guest speakers, and partners

  • Avoid using HNC platforms to solicit, sell, or self-promote outside of approved channels

4. Confidentiality and Privacy

Do not record, share, or misuse private or sensitive information shared within workshops, meetings, or internal platforms.

You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute materials from events or HNC services without written permission.

5. Reporting a Concern

We encourage individuals to report any behaviour that violates this Code of Conduct. Reports can be submitted confidentially to:

📧 info@hardnetworkconnections.co.uk

All reports are taken seriously and handled discreetly. Retaliation against someone who reports misconduct will not be tolerated.

6. Consequences of Violation

Depending on the nature of the violation, consequences may include:

  • A verbal or written warning

  • Temporary suspension from events or services

  • Permanent revocation of membership or access

  • Reporting to relevant authorities if appropriate

All actions are at the discretion of HNC leadership and aligned with our duty of care and legal responsibilities.

7. Our Commitment

We are committed to continuously improving our policies, listening to feedback, and cultivating a space where people feel safe, seen, and supported in their professional journeys.
